In this week was a black BM for a general maintenance and inspection.
We now have the R35 GTR engine stripped because we found low compression from one cylinder. A few other issues we have found were better found now! A loose crank bolt caused the crank pulley key to be heavily damaged, this would of caused the engine timing chain to slip and destroy the engine. We also found a large boost leak causing one of the turbos to over spin and damage the turbo internals! Now to put it back together correctly.
We had the stunning Nissan GTR in for a brake upgrade. We love this car!
It’s now using ferrodo DS2500 pads front and rear and new rotors on the rear, the DS2500’s give great cold bite, low noise and high fade tolerances. Perfect for a road car!
A beautiful blue Audi RS3 came to the garage today for, new tyres, wheel alignment, inspection and a service. It left the garage sparkling!
A beauty entered the workshop for a brake/clutch fluid loss diagnosis and a health inspection, the fluid loss turned out to be the clutch master.
The Porche 911 993 was quickly back to its normal self and driving round the countryside.
We have two stars in the workshop this week, the two ultimate machines from Nissan the R34 Skyline GTR and the R35 GTR.
We have more information coming soon on the R34 project watch this space…
Our client brought in this fabulous little Hyundai i30n, these really are great hot hatches, they drive and look great.
As with all turbo cars there is some un-tapped potential under the bonnet. We installed a ‘TDI Tuning’ tuning box.
The result was an additional 30bhp and 40lbft of torque.
This crisp white BMW E9X M3 was up for sale with its owner wanting a pre sale inspection. Low mileage and well specced.
It certainly passed with flying colours and was sold through PT Cars
Our client bought in this big beast the Nissan Navara for a remap.
From the graph you can certainly see that she was given plenty of torque, just what the doctor ordered!
A beautiful Audi RS6 we had in to add some new Carbon Styling upgrades to. It’s hard to make these cars look better than they already do, but we think these carbon add-ons suit it very well.
We fitted primary CAT delete pipes and performed an ECU remap on this BMW M3.
405bhp increased to 458bhp
280lbft increased to 295lbft
This Audi TTS had a RacingLine Performance induction kit fitted and was tuned on our rolling road with great gains.
315bhp increased to 379bhp
282lbft increased to 387lbft
A beautiful Porsche in for a wheel alignment, and check over this week, seeing these never gets old!
We had this supercharged Dodge Challenger visit us recently for a power run on the dyno. It made 580bhp and 524lbft which are really big numbers thanks to the massive supercharger strapped to the engine!
We love having American muscle in the workshop, it doesn’t get much more muscly than this Chevrolet Camaro which is in for some restoration work and running issues.
This is a pretty serious piece of damage sustained on this Nissan GTR, where a pothole caused the Front Shock Turret to be split as well as destroying one of the alloy wheels in the process.
The engine had to be removed to be able to repair the shock turret.
This Subaru Impreza Hatchback came to us for some performance upgrades including a front mount intercooler with modified pipework with a Perrin breather system. Engine oil pick up pipe replaced. A very clean and well looked after Impreza Hatch
This Mustang was brought in to have some Steeda UK parts fitted, including wheel spacers, rear bumper side lamp reflectors, lower rear bumper LED light conversion, rear subframe bush collars and a 4 wheel alignment.
This has been a lovely project for us to undertake, we started with a standard Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG and our client wanted us to develop a reliable performance package for fast-road use.
The car features a re-worked turbo by AET Motorsport, the exhaust is a full turbo-back un-valved system by Milltek Sport, a water/meth injection system by AEM Performance Electronics, an Intake system by Mishimoto Automotive and ECU calibration on our 4wd dyno by Simon from Bevo Tuning.
Power is just under 500bhp @ 495bhp and torque is 430lbft
Feature video below!
This Honda Civic Type-R FD2 was in for some servicing works and an ECU tune.
Our mapper Romain managed to squeeze more torque lower down in the rev range and hold this consistently, between 15-20lbft additional in most parts.
