History of the DASTEK dynamometer
DASTEK dynamometers were originally designed for the exclusive use of dynamometer operators.
The Dastek Dynamometer is extremely sensitive, it can detect a change as minute as the alternator drawing additional power from the engine, to compensate for vehicles interior heater fan being switched on!
Dastek's Dynamometer uses sophisticated digital processors which gives exceptional speed control. The need for heavy electrical damping in the load cell output - as required in most chassis dynamometers - is not needed when using Dastek's Dynamometer. Unlike other dynamometers that use ABS-type speed pick-ups (100 signals per revolution), Dastek's Dynamometers use high resolution shaft encoders, which give 500 digital pulses per revolution, and the very best in temperature compensated load cells.
Further more Dastek's Dynamometer uses sophisticated digital processors, which provide exceptional speed control, thus negating the need for heavy electrical damping, of the load cell output.
