This has been a lovely project for us to undertake, we started with a standard Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG and our client wanted us to develop a reliable performance package for fast-road use.
The car features a re-worked turbo by AET Motorsport, the exhaust is a full turbo-back un-valved system by Milltek Sport, a water/meth injection system by AEM Performance Electronics, an Intake system by Mishimoto Automotive and ECU calibration on our 4wd dyno by Simon from Bevo Tuning.
Power is just under 500bhp @ 495bhp and torque is 430lbft
Feature video below!
This Renault Megane RS has had a service and a previous ecu remap by another company, she was brought to us to have the ecu map downloaded and cleaned up. The graph shows a cleaner BHP curve and a stronger and cleaner torque curve. Before ECU cleanup – 263bhp / 267lbft After ECU cleanup & fresh remap – 272bhp / 295lbft
For this Audi TTS we fitted a decat pipe and carried out a stage 2 ECU remap.
The unlocked BHP and torque is very impressive as you can see with the dyno graph below.
Check out this STEALTH MODE upgrade for an Audi A6. We fitted a Wagner Tuning Front Mount Intercooler.
This unlocks increased boost from it’s two turbos, plus enjoy a remap to suit!
(Post updated 21/02/17)
Intercooler and Turbo upgrade on Audi A5. We fitted an uprated intercooler and a modified hybrid turbo and now the car is ready for ECU remapping. More updates to follow.
(21/02/17) The A5 has now been remapped and produces a very healthy set of figures. On the road she pulls like a train!
328bhp & 476lbft
Mini Cooper S fitted with a Water Methanol injection kit by Devilsown. This system is designed to prevent detonation which can occur at high temperatures and pressures in the combustion chamber. Water has a high latent heat content which makes it very effective at preventing the onset of detonation. The water injection also reduces the production of NOx (oxides of nitrogen). The methanol additionally reduces the chances of detonation due to its 116 octane rating and a performance improvement is achieved. A 50/50 mixture is misted into the engine which takes into account the fact the water and methanol will both reduce heat in the combustion chamber meanwhile the added octane rating adds BHP. Visit http://www.methanol-injection.co.uk/ for more information.
We get to remap a lot of modern diesel engines and enjoy seeing the owner enjoy their vehicle’s new found personality. Tthis BMW is no exception, the 530d is what we would call a performance diesel car anyway, but with the ability to increase power and torque the car can become a real sports saloon.
This 530d started with 246.9bhp & 386lb/ft. After our ecu remap was carried out the engine now produces 330.3bhp & 430.7lb/ft.
Incredibly the torque delivery is extended across the rev range as seen in the graph below, it would normally drop off after 3000rpm but now pulls to 4000rpm.
We remapped this little Ginetta, you can see in the graph below the original bhp and torque coloured blue.
The Ginetta is now back as it should be ultra responsive!
On this Audi A5 TDI we carried out a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) delete, with software delete.
The reason for removing the DPF is to gain additional power, fuel efficiency and to prevent the large repair bill of replacing the DPF.
We fitted an Evo9 turbo to this Evo6, fitted uprated fuel injectors and remapped the ECU
Our client Tom brought back his Golf GTI for some further upgrades.
Bilstein shock absorbers matched with Eiback springs, Eibach sway bars (F&R) and an ECU remap
Now she handles just as well as she pulls – our client Tom is very pleased with how different and improved the car is
